Vote for Edison small business in eBay contest

Out of more than 1,300 small businesses across the country, a local Edison business was named a finalist in eBay’s Shine Awards for Small Business program.

Electronic Surplus Deals Inc. and owner Prince Patel have been selected as one of three finalists in the Global Business category. The business specializes in refurbishing/reselling electronics of major brands such as Canon, Nikon, GoPro and more. Last year the business grossed more than $800,000 in sales.

The Shine Awards, sponsored by Intuit, is a seller recognition program that celebrates the contributions of small businesses on eBay to the economy and recognizes the entrepreneurs who have used eBay to help build successful businesses.

The general public can vote in each category once per day through July 18. After the initial round of voting, the grand prize winner will be selected by a panel of expert judges and will win $42,130 (ARV) and the category winners will each win $34,465 (ARV).
