During the Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central New Jersey’s (IACFNJ) summer picnic, two North Brunswick Township High School (NBTHS) students received scholarships.
The scholarship winners were awarded for excelling in history and literature, based on the highest score received by the student in each category. The recipients were Eugene Kozlakov and Iftikhar Ali.
Next year, IACFNJ plans to add South Brunswick High School to the awards program.
“Our goal is to continue to expand scholarship programs besides our cultural programs and community events throughout the year to unite people and embrace cultural diversity,” Dr. Tushar Patel said.

More than 200 people attended the picnic at Mercer County Park on July 1, enjoying games, bingo, prizes, live music and singing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided to all participants free of charge. The live entertainment was provided by DJ Darshan and Ashish from Desi Experiment LLC.

Upcoming events include India Independence Day on Aug. 19, Navratri Garba in October and a holiday party in November. For more information, visit www.IACFNJ.org or email iacfnj@yahoo.com.
