Joint investigation in Edison, Piscataway and South Plainfield leads to four arrests, seizure of illegal drugs

MIDDLESEX COUNTY — Joint investigations with police departments in Edison, Piscataway and South Plainfield led to four arrests in connection with seizures of illegal drugs including methamphetamine, GHB, commonly known as a date rape drug, and prescription drugs, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

This multi-jurisdictional operation was initiated by the Middlesex County Task Force in two separate searches, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Sept. 4, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, with the assistance of the Piscataway and South Plainfield Police Departments and the New Jersey State Police Hazmat Unit, seized an ounce of methamphetamine, several bottles of GHB, and prescription drugs from a vehicle following a court-ordered search, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Kurt Langlois, 43, and Trevis Lopez, 43, both of Edison, were arrested and charged with a variety of second-degree and third-degree charges for controlled dangerous substances including possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession with intent to distribute, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

In another investigation, on Sept. 5, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, with the assistance of Edison and South Plainfield Police Departments and the New Jersey State Police Hazmat Unit, seized three ounces of methamphetamine, quantities of GHB and drug paraphernalia including packaging materials, following a court-ordered search, from a home on Oak Tree Road in Edison and an additional eight ounces of methamphetamine from a vehicle, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Chester Wans, 54, of Edison, and Wesley Rosario, 22, of New York City, were arrested and charged with first-degree and second-degree charges for controlled dangerous substances, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
