The East Brunswick Museum will hold its annual candlelight tours of the historic Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Old Bridge Turnpike, East Brunswick, from 5:30-8 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 14.

During each 45-minute tour, visitors will follow lighted paths through the cemetery as costumed re-enactors portray former residents of East Brunswick and the surrounding area.

More than 500 luminaries will line the walking path for the tour, winding through the historic section of the cemetery. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own flashlight for safety.

There will be light refreshments served at the end of each tour.

The tours are open to the public, but are not appropriate for anyone with walking problems or children in strollers.

Free parking is available on site.

The tours serve as the East Brunswick Museum’s major fundraising event for the year. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under.
