Community Options opens day habilitation facility in Old Bridge for individuals with disabilities

Community Options, Inc. of New Jersey opened a new day habilitation facility at 343 Route 34 in Old Bridge. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Oct. 15.

Community Options is a national nonprofit incorporated in 1989 and headquartered in Princeton, serving thousands of individuals with disabilities throughout 11 states. In New Jersey, Community Options supports 18 programs that offer adult day training, three supported employment programs and three School To Employment Programs (STEP).

Day habilitation programs are designed to enhance daily living skills, vocational and community skills through volunteerism and community integration.

The program is expected to support 16 individuals with a staff of 4 employees.
