Danuel S. Brown, 30, of Piscataway, a former agent in the New York Field Office, pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy in the fourth degree. The investigation determined that Brown placed his cell phone underneath the dressing room door and took multiple photographs of a 22-year old woman while she was in a dressing room in an Edison clothing store, according to information provided by Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey.

Police responded to a 911 call from the victim stating she was photographed while she was changing. When confronted by the victim, Brown identified himself as a law enforcement officer, according to reports.

Under a plea agreement reached with Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Jody Carbone, Brown will be sentenced to non-custodial probation and will be required to submit to a psycho-sexual evaluation.

Superior Court Judge Joseph Rea, sitting in New Brunswick, ordered Brown to have no contact with the victim. In addition, Brown will have to forfeit his employment with the FBI, according to the statement.

The defendant was charged following an investigation by Detective Loren Long of the Edison Police Department and Detective Allie Bitterman from the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Brown is scheduled to be sentenced in New Brunswick by Superior Court Judge Michael A. Toto on Dec. 6.
