Historian to discuss Johnson Park horse track

The South River Historical & Preservation Society will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 28 at the South River Museum (Old School Baptist Church), 64-66 Main St., South River.

Local historian and research consultant Anthony Timek will present the history of Piscataway’s Johnson Park and its horse track. The presentation will include early pictures and newspaper clippings. Timek will also discuss other area race tracks, including South River’s Middlesex Driving Park.
