Funeral services set for Dec. 2 for Colts Neck family

A memorial gathering will be held at noon on Dec. 2 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, for the four members of a Colts Neck family who were found murdered at their home on Nov. 20.
Following the memorial gathering, a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. for Keith Caneiro, 50, his wife, Jennifer, 45, and their children, Jesse, 11, and Sophia, 8, according to obituaries posted online by the funeral home.
Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni has said the Caneiros were victims of homicide.
As of Nov. 26, no one had been charged in connection with their deaths or with a fire that occurred at their home on Willow Brook Road on Nov. 20. All four deceased family members were located by crews that responded to the afternoon fire.
Keith Caneiro earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Columbia University. He was the CEO of Square One Co., Asbury Park.
He is survived by his parents, Sherry and Cesar Caneiro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Corey and Elisa Caneiro and Paul and Susan Caneiro; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bette and Vlassis Karidis; sister-in-law, Bonnie Karidis; and three nieces and a nephew, Katie, Marissa, Cesar and Carina.
Jennifer Caneiro was a graduate of the University of Albany. She was an active member of the Conover Road School PTO.
She is survived by her parents, Bette and Vlassis Karidis; sister Bonnie Karidis; her mother and father-in-law, Sherry and Cesar Caneiro; brothers and sisters-in-law, Elisa and Corey Caneiro and Susan and Paul Caneiro; and three nieces and a nephew, Katie, Marissa, Cesar and Carina.
Jesse was a fifth grade student at the Conover Road School, Colts Neck. He participated in the Colts Neck Recreation sports programs.
Sophia was a third grade student at the Conover Road School, Colts Neck. She was a member of the Colts Neck Girl Scouts and she participated in the Colts Neck Recreation program.
