Local artist Leonard Mesonas kicks off Edison Arts Society’s 2019 gallery season

The Edison Arts Society will showcase local artist Leonard Mesonas with his Solo Artist Exhibit for the 2019 opening for the EAS’ Gallery on the third floor of the Municipal building, 100 Municipal Blvd., Edison.

The exhibit will open at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 9 with entertainment by violinist Debra Biderman, member of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. Light refreshments will be served.

Mesonas retired in 2002 as an industrial arts and mathematics teacher in the Edison Township Public Schools. He is currently an adjunct professor at Kean University in the General Studies Department teaching “Transition to Kean” to incoming freshman.

Lois Hatolski, a cut glass artist, will have some of her creative and detailed art pieces on display in the EAS Art Case for view and sale.

The exhibit will run through Feb. 1. The gallery is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
