COLTS NECK – Paul J. Santucci will be sworn in as Colts Neck’s new police chief on Jan. 30 during the regular meeting of the Township Committee at the Colts Neck Municipal Courthouse.

In a press release, municipal officials said Santucci has been a member of the Colts Neck Police Department for 23 years. He joined the department in 1995 as a patrolman and subsequently earned promotions to detective corporal, patrol corporal and patrol sergeant.

In 2012, Santucci was promoted to detective sergeant and has remained in that position.

“I look forward to the continued privilege to serve the residents of Colts Neck alongside the great men and women who comprise the Colts Neck Police Department. I’m confident the experience I have gained at each stage in my career has prepared me to effectively guide, lead and direct our agency,” Santucci said.

Santucci will succeed Kevin Sauter, who recently retired as Colts Neck’s police chief.
