Manalapan Police Beat, Jan. 30

The Manalapan Police Department reported the following incidents that occurred in the township:

• On Jan. 12 at 5:51 p.m., Patrolman Douglas Zike responded to a business on Route 9, where an employee reported that three unknown Hispanic males had entered the store and attempted to steal $3,660 worth of merchandise. The employee said the men did not leave the store with any merchandise.

• On Jan. 10 at 9:35 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a Kimberly Court residence during the overnight hours and removed property. The value of the property is unknown at this time. Patrolman Jeannie Letts took the report and the incident is pending further investigation.

• On Jan. 18 at 6:45 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that during the early morning hours, an unknown individual entered a parked vehicle on Wellington Court and removed items valued at approximately $170. Wellington Court is in a residential development off Tennent Road. During an investigation, police determined additional vehicles in the area had been entered. Police said some of the vehicles that were entered had been left unlocked.

• On Jan. 18 at 12:40 a.m., a Manalapan resident reported that an unknown individual stole a 2018 Honda Accord during the overnight hours. The vehicle was parked at a residence on Hampton Court. Police said the key fob had been left in the vehicle. Hampton Court is in a residential development off Tennent Road.
