Englishtown officials authorize contracts

ENGLISHTOWN – Municipal officials in Englishtown have authorized the expenditure of $10,259 for software maintenance.

During a meeting on Jan. 23, members of the Borough Council passed a resolution authorizing a contract with Edmunds & Associates, Northfield, for software maintenance for Englishtown’s finance, tax, animal, and water and sewer departments.

In other business, council members authorized the purchase of $5,350 worth of ammunition for the Englishtown Police Department. The ammunition was purchased from Eagle Point Gun Shop (TJ Morris and Son), Thorofare.

Finally, council members appointed Deanna Owens as Englishtown’s deputy court administrator. Owens will work under the direction of the municipal court administrator.

According to a resolution, the position of deputy court administrator is full-time (35 hours per week) at an hourly rate of $14 per hour. Court attendance is included in the salary.

Council members Lori Cooke, Maryanne Krawiec, Eric Mann, Dan Marter and Gregory Wojyn voted in favor of the actions taken at the meeting. Councilwoman Cecilia Robilotti was absent.
