Maryann Tizon of Howell has been named to the president’s list (4.0 GPA) for the 2019 spring term at Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa.

Deividas Jeskevicius of Jackson has been inducted into the Alpha Eta Honor Society, the national scholastic honor society for allied health students, at the New York Institute of Technology School of Health Professions, Old Wesbury, N.Y.

Dylan Valente of Howell has been inducted into Phi Lambda Upsilon, the national honorary chemical society, at the University of Scranton, Pa. Dylan is a junior biochemistry major at the Jesuit university.

Sara Major of Howell, a student at the New York Institute of Technology, presented research at this year’s Alethia Annual Research Symposium. Organized by NYIT School of Health Professions and held at the Long Island campus in Old Westbury, N.Y., the event’s name comes from the Greek word for “truth,” encouraging the future professionals to find passion in their work. Among the topics covered by this year’s projects were Parkinson’s disease, the effects of vaping, and the relationship between exercise and grades.

Wagner College, Staten Island, N.Y., held its annual senior awards banquet on May 9. Jessica M. Aletta of Jackson won the Kappa Mu Epsilon Award for excellence in service and leadership as a mathematics or computer science major.

Zackary Rovner of Howell has graduated from Emerson College, Boston, Mass., with a BA degree in media arts production.

William Mitchell of Jackson has been named to the spring 2019 dean’s list at Belmont University, Nashville, Tenn.

Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa., has named Erika D’Angelo of Jackson to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester.

Kiana Clarke of Howell received the Alpha Psi Omega Award when Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pa., celebrated the accomplishments of students during its 2018-19 awards ceremony.

Michael Dworzak of Howell has earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in ACS chemistry at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa. Michael is a graduate of Howell High School.

Jennifer Roberto of Howell has earned a Bachelor of Science in marine science at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C.
