Former Yankees batboy to discuss new book at Edison library

The Edison Main Public Library will host a program called “Yankee Batboy: From Little Italy to Yankee Stadium” featuring Anthony Florio, a book author and former batboy for the New York Yankees, at 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 at the library, 340 Plainfield Ave., Edison.

Florio will talk about his new book, and will share stories about growing up in Little Italy, New York, and traveling with the Yankees from 1962-64, which included three World Series. He will also talk about his experiences with Yankee greats such as Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Roger Maris.
