Former Yankees batboy to discuss new book at Edison library

The Edison Main Public Library will hold a program called “Yankee Batboy: From Little Italy to Yankee Stadium” featuring Anthony Florio, a book author and former batboy for the New York Yankees, at 7 p.m. on Aug. 13 at the library, 340 Plainfield Ave., Edison.

Florio will talk about his new book, and will share stories about growing up in Little Italy, and traveling with the Yankees from 1962-64, which also included three World Series. He will also talk about his experiences with the Yankee greats such as Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and Roger Maris.
