Raritan Bay Medical Center-Old Bridge announces programs in September

Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center will hold a “Is Weight Loss Surgery Right for Me?” lecture from 7-8 p.m. on Sept. 9 and from 7:30-8:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Institute for Weight Loss, 3 Hospital Plaza, Suite 404, Raritan Bay-Old Bridge.

A free Fall Harvest will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Raritan Bay-Old Bridge Auxiliary Rooms B&C. Registered dietitians and chefs will teach attendees about healthy local produce options and how to incorporate them into fall meals. Cooking demo and samples provided.

A free stroke support group will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 12 at the Old Bridge Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, Old Bridge.

A free colon cancer information event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 16 in the Raritan Bay-Old Bridge, Medical Arts Building lobby.

An Angioscreen vascular screening will be offered from 1-7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Raritan Bay-Old Bridge, Auxiliary Hall B&C. Participants will learn their risk for heart attack and stroke, receive an instant color report and private consultation with a registered nurse. Fee is $49.95.

A foot and wound care event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 23 in the Raritan Bay-Old Bridge Dining Room. Attendees will learn the common causes of skin and foot wounds, prevention and treatment options.

A free bariatric support group will be held from 6-7 p.m.on Sept. 25 at Raritan Bay-Old Bridge, Auxiliary Hall A.

A free Solutions to Balance Problems event will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Raritan Bay-Old Bridge. Attendees will learn the causes of balance problems and exercises to reduce risk for falls. Balance screenings will be provided.
