North Brunswick Democrats donate funds to food bank

The North Brunswick Democratic Organization donated $7,000 to the North Brunswick Food Bank.

During its holiday celebration, the organization collected funds, Chairman Richard Zangara said during the Feb. 3 North Brunswick Township Council meeting.

“It’s a wonderful organization. It takes a lot of volunteer hours,” he said. “[Donors] were from both sides of the aisle and politics never mattered a bit. It’s all about the individuals in North Brunswick who need it the most.”

Members also held a toy drive.

Speaking directly to food bank coordinator Kathy Aruta, Zangara said, “From one volunteer to another, thank you for all you do, and God bless.”
