Two more Edison residents test positive for coronavirus

EDISON – Edison Township has been notified that there are two additional COVID-19
cases.

One is a 51-year-old female who has been self-quarantined and the other is
a 26-year-old female with no further information available, according to information released in the evening of March 17 by the Edison Office of Emergency Management.

The state will continue to update officials with additional information as it becomes
available, according to the statement. Officials will share updates as permitted by law.

 

These new patients are the fourth and fifth reported positive cases in Edison.

On March 11, a 74-year-old male tested positive, Janelle Fleming of the New Jersey Department of Health had said. He and his wife recently returned from a cruise, according to information provided by the Edison Township Division of Health & Human Services. The wife later tested positive on March 14.

A 53-year-old male from Edison has also tested positive for novel coronavirus.
