WOODBRIDGE – Woodbridge officials reported 87 new positive COVID-19 cases, which brings total number of cases to 623, Mayor John McCormac said in his daily report on April 10.
“The Township had our worst daily total so far with 87 additional cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 …there are still no trends of significance,” he said.
The State Department of Health experts are expecting a few more days of high numbers in reported cases before we experience a levelling off, McCormac said.
“We are still encouraged by the results of our Health Department calls to the earliest victims, which are showing overwhelming numbers of people that are asymptomatic and back to normal, although there is very little normal about these days,” he said.
McCormac recognized the nine Fire Departments in the township who are donating their time and effort into bringing the Easter Bunny around on their fire trucks all over town this weekend. The schedule is online.
“It’s a nice break from the loneliness so when you hear the sirens just look out your window or stand on your porch and wave,” he said. “It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.”
