NORTH BRUNSWICK – The North Brunswick Department of Public Works will be going through the township picking up branches at the curb in the wake of Tropical Storm Isaias.

DPW will not be collecting contracted work, so if a resident hires a tree removal company, it will be the company’s responsibility to remove the entire tree.

The township will also not be collecting branches larger than 5 inches in diameter as the Middlesex County recycling facility will not accept them. Residents are asked to place branches at the curb, in a neat fashion, not thrown. DPW will come around the town for collection.

DPW will sweep the town three times, as was done for Superstorm Sandy in 2012. Residents are then advised to follow the ordinance regarding collection going forward.

For more information, call the Public Works Garage at 732-297-1134.
