FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The Township Committee in Freehold Township has awarded a contract for paving work in the municipality.
On Sept. 22, committee members awarded the $218,870 contract to Fiore Paving Company Inc., Oceanport, for the 2020-21 pavement preservation program.
Township Engineer Timothy White recommended that Fiore Paving Company be awarded the contract as the lowest bidder, according to a resolution.
According to the resolution, Fiore Paving Company was one of two contractors to submit a bid for the project. The other company that sought the contract was Garden State Sealing, Tinton Falls, which bid $233,270.
In other business, committee members authorized the following liquor licenses for 2020-21:
• Chefs International Inc. (Moore’s Inn/Escondidos Mexican Restaurant), consumption license;
• Freehold Township Liquors Inc. (Max’s Beer, Wine and Liquor), distribution license;
• GPLR LLC (Radisson Hotel of Freehold), under applicable state statutory law, consumption license;
• Saker ShopRites Inc. (ShopRite Liquors and Wines of Freehold), distribution license;
• P.F. Chang’s China Bistro Inc. (P.F. Chang’s China Bistro), consumption license;
• Raintree Liquors Inc. (Max’s Beer, Wine and Liquor), distribution license;
• Brinker Freehold Inc. (Chili’s Grill & Bar), consumption license;
• Tommy’s Freehold LLC (Tommy’s Tavern + Tap), consumption license;
