Wakefern Food Corp., the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative with member companies that own and operate supermarkets under the ShopRite, Price Rite Marketplace, The Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Market, Gourmet Garage and Fairway Market banners, is hosting two hiring fairs in October to fill a number of full-time warehouse positions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Wakefern is seeking applicants for warehouse selector jobs to help prepare products and shipments for delivery to supermarkets.
First and second shifts are available with a guaranteed 40 hours a week and overtime opportunities, and successful candidates can expect to use voice directed technology to select cases at the warehouses.
- A hiring fair for the Breinigsville warehouse known as Grocery West will be held on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8301 Industrial Blvd., Breinigsville, PA 18031.
- A hiring fair for all New Jersey warehouses, including Elizabeth, Keasbey and Jamesburg, will be held on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 5000 Riverside Drive, Keasbey, NJ 08832.
After completion of a probationary period, employees are also eligible for company-paid health benefits, the company-paid retirement plan, paid holidays, paid time off and guaranteed annual raises.
Wakefern will provide on-the-job training and warehouses are bilingual English/Spanish workplaces. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
All COVID-19 protocols will be in place at the hiring fairs, including wearing masks and observing social distancing.
