No injuries reported in Hillsborough structure fire

The Hillsborough Police Department responded with fire companies to 2 Davis Close around 5 a.m. June 13 for a report of a structure fire.

Arriving units discovered the rear outside portion of the residence was engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, according to information provided by the Hillsborough Township Police Department.

No one was injured.

The fire does not appear suspicious, but remains under investigation, officials said.

In addition to the Hillsborough Police Department, the following fire companies and agencies responded: Hillsborough Fire Stations 36, 37, 38; Manville Fire Station 42; Raritan Fire Station 52; Montgomery Fire Station 45; Bridgewater Fire Station 21; Franklin Fire Station 26; Millstone Valley Fire Station 28; Finderne Fire Station 30; Somerset County coordinators 99 and 97; Robert Wood Johnson EMS; Hillsborough Bureau of Fire Safety; Hillsborough OEM; Hillsborough Township Social Services; Hillsborough Township Building Department; and PSE&G.
