Manalapan Police Beat, Sept. 7

The Manalapan Police Department has reported the following incidents which recently occurred in the community:

On Aug. 20 at 5:32 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals gained access to a Devon Drive residence and were subsequently involved in a physical altercation with the resident. The individuals who entered the residence were described as wearing face masks and gloves. The suspects fled the area in a black, mid-size sport utility vehicle. Minor injuries were sustained as a result of the incident. Patrolman Everett McNulty handled the report.

On Aug. 21 at 12:52 a.m., Patrolman Hunter Mauro conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 29-year-old male resident of Hillside, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed and released after being issued summonses.

On Aug. 21 at 2:50 p.m., a Matawan resident reported that unknown individuals stole a trailer valued at approximately $12,500. The trailer was last seen on Aug. 19 on a Freehold Road property. Patrolman Chris Schou handled the report.

On Aug. 23 at 4:32 p.m., a Manalapan resident reported that unknown individuals burglarized a Tennent Road residence sometime between 1-4:30 p.m. and removed various items from the home. There is no estimated value for the stolen items. Patrolman Mantas Stanionis handled the report.
