Women’s History Month: Bordentown company celebrates landmark achievement

March is Women’s History Month with International Women’s Day falling on March 8.

Legacy Converting Inc., a warehouse in Bordentown is celebrating a landmark achievement in their facility, as they have the most female employers – 19 – in their history, according to the company. The female employees currently make half of their staff across departments.

Legacy was on the path to hiring more women when they acquired Essity, a global health and hygiene company, to produce Everwipes. Now, women occupy positions in all departments, from the warehouse to supply chain, customer service and accounting.

For Women’s History Month, Legacy hosted a signature potluck on March 6 at their facility, sharing foods from various countries that are part of the various heritages of their female employees. Legacy is the main manufacturer of Everwipes on behalf of Essity North America, whose headquarters are in Philadelphia.
