Residents will have a chance to fill up on pizza and ask their local law enforcement members questions when Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Grammiccioni hosts “Pizza with a Prosecutor and a Cop” on May 30.

The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cafe Villa Pizza in West Long Branch at 310 Route 36. Grammiccioni, along with Monmouth County Police Officer Chief of Detectives Michael Pasterchick Jr., and other officers from the area will discuss issues in the community in an effort to build a relationship in the community.

According to a press release, Grammiccioni has had “Coffee with a Prosecutor and a Cop” before and thought they were a success, and decided to add the pizza setting to the event list.

“These events open doors for community engagement outside of just emergency situations,” Grammiccioni said. “Keeping with the spirit of community policing, events like these have successfully contributed to establishing trust between the community and law enforcement. The Monmouth Prosecutor’s Office looks to have a role in bridging those gaps.”
