Four will vie for seats in Allentown

ALLENTOWN – There will be a contested race for a pair of seats on the Allentown Borough Council in the Nov. 7 general election.

In the June 6 primary, incumbent Democrats Angela Anthony and Wil Borkowski were confirmed as the Democratic candidates who will seek two three-year terms on the council.

Borough Clerk Laurie Gavin reported there are no Republican candidates for council.

June 6 was the deadline for individuals who want to run as independent candidates to file a nominating petition. Two Allentown residents, John A. Elder III and Felicia R. Giliberti, filed to run as independent candidates.
