Jackson athletes finish high at indoor MOC

Jackson Liberty High School junior Danielle Notarfrancesco concluded her solid season in the shot put, finishing fourth in the NJSIAA indoor Meet of Champions (MOC) with a throw of 44-3 Feb. 27 at the John Bennett Indoor Athletic Complex in Toms River.

Notarfrancesco won the Group III championships the previous week with a throw of 45-2¾.

Jackson Memorial High School distance runner Ryan Rafferty finished seventh in the 800 meters in 4:19.03. He finished third in the MOC in the 1,600 meters last year and qualified for both events this year out of the Group III championships but opted for the 800, where he had a fourth-place time of 1:58.58 at the groups meet. He was second in the 1,600 meters in 4:19.28 at the group meet.
