Antonides, 28, graduated from St. Rose High School, Belmar, in 2007 and attended Monmouth University, West Long Branch, according to township officials. She earned a master’s degree in criminal justice and a certificate in homeland security, and minored in information technology. Prior to becoming a police officer, Antonides was employed as an area loss prevention manager for a department store.

Raab, 24, attended Steinert High School, Hamilton Township, where he played varsity baseball and hockey, according to township officials.

After graduating high school in 2012, Raab attended Mercer County Community College, West Windsor. Raab previously worked with the Freehold Township Police Department as a Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO). He was also employed as a Class II SLEO in the Belmar Police Department and in the Old Bridge Police Department.

After the two officers were sworn in, Police Chief Ernest Schriefer made note of the importance of their families while they work in law enforcement.

“Your families are the ones who will support you at the police academy and during your career,” Schriefer said.
