Parents and students of the Fidelity Chinese School have provided ongoing support to the school district on a voluntary basis, according to the resolution.

Freehold Borough administrators will express their appreciation formally at the Fidelity Chinese School’s celebration of the Chinese new year on Feb. 24.

In other business on Feb. 5, an agreement for E-Rate services (telecommunications and Internet access) was authorized by the board with Recapture Technologies Corporation. The cost of the services is estimated between $2,450 and $3,675, according to a resolution.

According to the resolution, the agreement was authorized because the district has a need for E-Rate services for the 2018-19 E-Rate funding year and such services can only be provided by an E-Rate firm.

Recapture Technologies Corporation was recognized as an E-Rate firm and therefore authorized to provide the district with E-Rate consulting services for the 2018-19 E-Rate funding year.

And, the board approved a cooperative relationship with the Make a Smile Foundation to organize a spring spree for clothing for 40 at risk pupils in the district between the ages of 4 and 8. The event will be conducted at the Target department store in Manalapan on May 6.
