Baseball player Alex Lamattina of Hazlet and track star Katy Pacheco of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown are among the student-athletes.

“Our primary mission at MCC is for students to succeed in the classroom and develop the skills necessary to prepare them for their future,” Athletic Director Derrick Johnson said in a prepared statement. “Alumni and fans should be proud of their academic accomplishments. The hard work and dedication of students working with our outstanding faculty and staff produced tremendous results this past fall. Coaches and the college’s academic advising staff do a great job of focusing on student success that will lead to our most important objective: graduation and transfer from MCC.”
