POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 1/15/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016. 
Michael Rivera, 24, of Hightstown, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 12:59 p.m. Dec. 31, 2015, at Town Center Plaza.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Town Center Plaza when he identified an individual with an outstanding warrant from Hightstown Municipal Court. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Rivera was also in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and released after posting bail. 
Justin B. Nicholls, 25, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and for being an unlicensed driver after being stopped at 4:40 p.m. Jan. 1 on Route 130.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 130 and Old Cranbury Road for an expired driver’s license. The driver had an outstanding warrant with Bay Head Borough Municipal Court and further investigation revealed that he was also in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Nicholls was arrested and released after posting bail. 
Martin A. Hilson, 30, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and having a suspended driver’s license after being stopped at 11:55 a.m. Jan. 3 on Old Trenton Road.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Old Trenton Road when he conducted a motor vehicle stop for a seatbelt violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver was also in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Hilson was arrested and released pending court action. 
James T. Cardone, 21, of Point Pleasant, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and having an unregistered motor vehicle after being stopped at 2:44 p.m. Jan. 6 on Old York Road.
An officer was on patrol in the area of Old York Road when he conducted a motor vehicle stop on an unregistered vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver was also in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Cardone was arrested and released pending court action.
