The Greater Hightstown Juniorettes are seeking students in the fourth and fifth grades in the East Windsor/Hightstown school districts to participate the group’s annual spelling bee Tuesday, Feb. 2, in the Grace N. Rogers Elementary School auditorium.
Because of time restrictions, the spelling bee will be limited to the first 50 applicants who apply. Registration fee is $8 and checks can be made out to the Greater Hightstown Juniorettes. No cash, please.
Once applications have been received, the group will email applicants a list of words to study. The top three winners will receive gift cards and an opportunity to compete at the District Spelling Bee on Feb 21, 2016, with a chance to move on to the State Bee, March 5, 2016.
Greater Hightstown co-advisors for the event are Cori Kenny and Sue Madden.
For information on how to get an application form, contact Greater Hightstown Juniorettes at corikenny@comcast.net, (732) 610-8976.
This is not an East Windsor Regional School District event; it is being sponsored by the Greater Hightstown Juniorettes, a non-profit volunteer organization.
