ALERT: Public safety announcement about impending storm from Hightstown Municipal Offices

The national weather service is predicting significant snow fall in the upcoming storm. To ensure that the Hightstown DPW, Police and Fire personnel can protect life and property during the temporary emergency please cooperate by heeding the following requests:
Residents are advised to remain inside during the Storm.
Vehicles should not be parked on the designated snow routes to avoid being ticketed and towed.
Please park your vehicles off the street if possible to allow for easier snow plowing.
Please remove any basketball rims or other sporting equipment from the street.
When shoveling snow do not throw snow onto the streets
Reception centers will be established to shelter anyone stranded by the storm on an as needed basis. Any resident without heat during the storm should call the police so that the shelters will be activated.
If there is a fire hydrant in front of your house, help the fire department by digging it out while you are working on your sidewalk.
Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is closely monitoring the developing weather conditions associated with Winter Storm Jonas for this weekend. Customers without power are encouraged to call 1 888 544 4877 to report their outage. In the event of severe weather, customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility, or call their local police or fire department.
