Women’s Club of Cranbury offering scholarship opportunities

The Woman’s Club of Cranbury is offering some scholarship opportunities.
The group is offering two Community Service Scholarships to graduating high school seniors who live in Cranbury Township.
Students may apply by filling out the application form on the website: http://www.womansclubofcranbury.org/uploads/Scholarship_Application_HS_draft_10_3_11.18.14.doc. Applications are due by April 30.
To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must reside in Cranbury Township; may be male or female; must be a high school senior who will be entering their first year of post-secondary education; and must have shown examples of exceptional Community Service, which shall include, but shall not be limited to, volunteerism, leadership, or other virtues of service.
Candidates may apply without restriction. Notification of the award and solicitation of nominations will be made to Princeton High School staff and other secondary schools that Cranbury students may be attending, as well as to other local media outlets.
The application will include where the scholarship will be used, as well as the applicant’s mailing address and email address.
A one-page essay detailing why the candidate should be considered is part of the application.
Two personal references from people who are not related to the candidate are also required. One should be from a teacher or other school staff, and one should be from a source outside of school, such as clergy or youth leaders.
The Application must be made by April 30 and sent to: The Woman’s Club of Cranbury, Attn: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 94, Cranbury, N.J. 08512.
The club is also offering one $2,000 Woman’s Scholarship for a woman returning to school and pursuing post-secondary education.
Applications are available at: http://www.womansclubofcranbury.org/uploads/Scholarship_Application_Woman_5.11.15_FINAL.doc. Applications are due by April 30.
The guidelines for this scholarship include: Candidates must reside in Middlesex or Mercer County; must be female; must be pursuing post-secondary education; and must have evidence of secondary school graduation.
Candidates may apply without restriction. Notification of the award and solicitation of nominations will be made to various educational institutions, as well as other local organizations and media outlets.
The application must be completed and will include where the scholarship will be used and financial information, as well as the applicant’s mailing address, phone number, and email address.
The application must include proof of enrollment or acceptance into a certificate or degree program, start date or date when study began and transcript from the highest level of education obtained.
A personal reference letter and an academic reference letter from sources not related to you are also required. These should be mailed to the Scholarship Committee by those giving the references.
The application must be complete by April 30 and sent to: The Woman’s Club of Cranbury, Attn: Woman’s Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 94, Cranbury, N.J., 08512.
