HILLSBOROUGH: Kindergarten registration to be held Feb. 23 and 24

Hillsborough Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2016-17 school year on Feb. 23 and 24.
Registration will take place during the morning at each elementary school and in the evening by appointment only at the Board of Education conference room located in the Hillsborough Municipal Building at 379 S. Branch Road. To schedule an evening registration appointment, contact your designated elementary school.
Each elementary school’s registration details, as well as the registration packet, are available on the district website, www.htps.us. Those who are unsure of their zoned elementary school may contact the district’s Transportation Department at 908-431-6600, prompt 6, for details.
Children who reside in Hillsborough and were born on or before Oct. 1, 2011, are eligible to register for kindergarten. A birth certificate (original preferred), immunization records and residency documentation are required at the time of registration.
Parents may also register their kindergarten-aged child for the Children at Play (CAP) program lottery during kindergarten registration. CAP is a tuition-required, thematic-based, play-centered program designed to provide parents with an option to extend the second half of their child’s day in the schools.  Amsterdam: Last names A-L on Feb. 23; last names M-Z on Feb. 24. Both days are 8 to 11 a.m.
 Hillsborough Elementary: Last names A-L on Feb. 23; last names M-Z on Feb. 24. Both days are 9 a.m. to noon.
 Sunnymead: 9 a.m. to noon. Call for an appointment.
 Triangle Elementary: Last names A-L on Feb. 23; last names M-Z on Feb. 24. Both days are 8 to 11 a.m.
 Woodfern: 9 a.m. to noon. Call for an appointment.
 Woods Road: Last names A-L on Feb. 23; last names M-Z on Feb. 24. Both days are 9 a.m. to noon. 
