Hillsborough school board president and Thomas Kinst and Superintendent Jorden Schiff have co-signed a letter thanking the public following passage of a referendum question Tuesday to authorize  $2 million in borrowing.
The letter reads:
“Dear members of the Hillsborough and Millstone communities,
On behalf of the Hillsborough Township Board of Education and the Hillsborough School District, we would like to thank the citizens of Hillsborough for their support of the March 8th referendum. The unofficial results from the construction referendum are as 1,548 yes and 475 no.
The approved construction projects will allow us to make significant improvements to the Hillsborough Middle School parking lot as well as maintain the safety of the Hillsborough High School athletic turf field.
Your approval enables us to pay for these projects with our existing reserved funds and state funding, with no impact to property taxes. We appreciate your support and look forward to completing these projects during this summer.”
