POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 4/22/16

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, April 13, 2016. 
William L. Portacio, 26, of Greenbook, N.J., was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding after being stopped at 10:29 p.m. April 8 on Route 133.
An officer was on patrol on Route 133 when he observed a vehicle that was speeding and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Portacio was arrested and later released pending court action. 
Dante L. Concepcion, 18, of Cranbury, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and failure to signal lane change at 11:40 p.m. April 8 on Route 133.
An officer was on patrol on Route 33 near Route 133 when he observed a vehicle fail to signal a lane change and conducted a motor vehicle stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Dante was arrested and later released pending court action. 
Ivan P. Nivelo, 56, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, obstructing traffic and having an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle after being stopped at 1:57 p.m. April 9 on Lake Drive.
Officers responded to Lake Drive at the Route 33 intersection to check on a possible intoxicated driver. Upon their arrival they located the vehicle stopped in the roadway with the driver asleep behind the wheel. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Nivelo was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action. 
Neal M. Patwardhan, 22, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and having an obstructed view after being stopped at 11:33 a.m. April 12 on Hickory Corner Road.
An officer was on patrol on Route 130 near Hickory Corner Road when he observed a vehicle with a view obstruction and the driver not wearing a seatbelt. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Patwardhan was arrested and later released pending court action. 
William F. Coderre Jr., 35, of Jackson, N.J., was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, and failure to maintain lamps after being stopped at 1 a.m. April 14 on Route 130.
An officer was on patrol on Route 130 in the area of Route 571 when he observed a vehicle stopped at a green light with the driver asleep behind the wheel. The officer conducted a motor vehicle stop and spoke with the driver who was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. Mr. Coderre was later released pending court action. 
