Victim injured when weapon discharged at residence in Monroe

MONROE – A suspect discharged a weapon at a private residence in the area of Stonegate Drive in Monroe around 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 28.

The victim, injured in the leg, was treated and released from Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick for minor injuries, according to information provided by the Monroe Township Police Department.

Initial investigation indicates the suspect and victim are known to each other, according to officials.

No other information was released as of press time.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s office has been notified and is cooperating with the investigation. Anyone with information should call 732-745- 3300.
