Tringali is not expected to serve any jail time as a result of his guilty plea, but he will be subject to parole supervision for life and will have to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, according to Christopher Swendeman, a spokesman for the prosecutor.

Tringali’s sentencing is scheduled for April 24 in front of Oxley.

In a press release that was issued at the time of Tringali’s arrest, Gramiccioni said Tringali was arrested on Sept. 5 and charged with sexually assaulting a 19-year-old male over the 2019 Labor Day weekend.

The prosecutor said Tringali was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Manalapan Police Department.

Swendeman said Tringali is not permitted to have any contact with the 19-year-old male.

At the time of his arrest, Tringali was an elected member of the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education and the vice president of and a chaplain with the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad, according to Gramiccioni.

Following a week-long detention in the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, Tringali was released and placed on home confinement. His term on the school board ended on Dec. 31. He is no longer a member of the first aid squad.
