MATAWAN–Commemorating 52 years of marriage, Atrium Senior Living of Matawan Resident Don Ostler surprised his wife Audrey Ostler with a vow renewal ceremony on Valentine’s Day.

“The secret to a long, happy marriage is to always be respectful to each other, understanding and helpful. Honesty is key and to never go to bed mad at each other,” Don Ostler said in a prepared statement.

Their vow renewal was performed by an ordained Minister Mary Jones of United Methodist Church and featured a live keyboardist, violinist and of course wedding cake.

More than 15 residents, who also reside at Atrium Senior Living of Matawan, attended the couple’s surprise ceremony on Feb. 14 at the Atrium Senior Living of Matawan, located at 40 Freneau Ave.

Audrey’s Care Giver made sure her make-up was done perfectly and her outfit was wedding-ready.
