A 53-year-old Kingston man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Herrontown Road Aug. 22. He was released to a friend’s custody.
A MacLean Circle resident lost $1,500 to a person who identified himself as a PNC Bank representative. The fake representative told the victim to buy $1,500 worth of Target and Apple gift cards to correct a banking error, and to provide him with the card information, according to reports. The incident was reported Aug. 18.
A Trewbridge Court resident was reportedly scammed out of $3,000 by a person she met on a dating website. The incident of theft by deception was reported Aug. 14.
The lift gate at the Spring Street municipal parking garage was damaged by a vandal who was caught hanging on the gate by surveillance video Aug. 13.
Burglars broke into a South Harrison Street house while its owners were on vacation, but nothing was reported missing. The victims, who reported the burglary on Aug. 12, said they found the window on one side of the entry door was broken with an unknown object, according to police. The rear door had been locked with a deadbolt lock, but they found it was unlocked.
The Princeton Housing Authority reported the theft of tools, valued at a combined $1,147.25, from the housing authority’s garage on Redding Circle on Aug. 12.
Two shoplifters walked out of a liquor store on State Road/Route 206 with five bottles of liquor, valued at a combined $212.95, that they had concealed in their bags, according to reports. The theft was reported Aug. 11.
