A detached garage on a property on Millstone River Road was engulfed in flames and heavy smoke around 12:34 a.m. Jan. 6.
This Hillsborough Township Police Department’s arriving units extinguished the fire, according to information provided by the department.
The detached garage was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
There were no injuries sustained, according to the statement.
The fire is not considered suspicious but remains under investigation by detectives from the police department and the Hillsborough Township Bureau of Public Safety.
Representatives from the Hillsborough fire marshal’s office; Hillsborough fire units 36, 37 and 38; Manville Fire Unit 42; Millstone Valley Fire Unit 28; Neshanic Fire Unit 48; Robert Wood Johnson EMS; the Hillsborough Township Building Department; and PSE&G responded.
