The driver and two passengers escaped with minor injuries after the car in which they were riding left the road and overturned on Montgomery Road near the 1860 House May 1, according to the Montgomery Township Police Department.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, police said. The front seat passenger suffered cuts to the head and both arms, and was also taken to the hospital. The back seat passenger was examined by Montgomery EMS, but refused medical treatment, according to reports.

The 17-year-old driver was issued summonses for reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane, police said.

Additional summonses were issued for violation of a provisional driver’s license for having too many passengers in the vehicle and a provisional violation for not having a provisional decal on the vehicle, police said.
