Monmouth Day Care Center (MDCC) will host its seventh annual Touch-a-Truck “funraiser” from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Red Bank Middle School, 101 Harding Road, Red Bank. All ages are welcome to attend.

All proceeds will benefit Monmouth Day Care Center, a nonprofit serving families seeking quality childcare without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or economic status.

Ambulances, fire engines, military vehicles, limousines, dump trucks and other construction equipment will be displayed in the Middle School parking lot, where kids will get a closer look at the vehicles they love to see every day. Children are encouraged to explore the vehicles in a safe environment while the owners and operators will be on hand to describe how the vehicles work and what kind of jobs they do.

“Every kid stops and watches when a police car or fire engine races by. This event gives them a chance to get to know these vehicles and the men and women who work with them, while contributing to a good cause,” said Heidi Zaentz, MDCC’s executive director.

In addition to the vehicles on display, the event will feature crafts, games (activity tickets required), music and a 50-50 raffle. Food vendors will also be available.

Tickets are $15 for a family of up to four if purchased in advance and will include five activity tickets. Tickets at the door will be $20 and include three activity tickets.

MDCC is partnering with Lunch Break, a Red Bank nonprofit that provides food and clothing for those in need. Bring a non-perishable food item for Lunch Break and receive an extra activity ticket. Advance tickets and additional information are available by calling 732-741-4313 or visiting www.monmouthdaycarecenter1969.org.
