A 34-year-old Trenton man was charged with obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension and failure to wear a seat belt after the car he was a passenger in was stopped by police for having an expired registration on Route 33 May 10. The man was also found to have an outstanding warrant from another town and gave police officers a false name. He was processed and released.

A 25-year-old Trenton man was charged with forgery and theft of identity for allegedly trying to buy a new cellphone using stolen account information from an AT&T customer at the AT&T store on Route 571 May 8. He was processed and released.

A 29-year-old New Brunswick resident was charged with shoplifting on a complaint summons for allegedly taking $653.91 worth of merchandise from ShopRite on Route 130 without paying for the items May 8.

A 37-year-old Philadelphia resident was charged with theft, credit card fraud, forgery and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a wallet from a ShopRite customer’s purse May 6. The person allegedly tried to use one of the victim’s credit cards at a nearby CVS drug store on Route 130. The person was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center.

A 56-year-old East Windsor Township man was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane after a police officer saw his car weaving on Route 130 on May 8. He allegedly showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He was processed and released.

A 35-year-old Williamstown woman and a 39-year-old Newport man were charged with possession of methamphetamine after a police officer found the drug in their car on Route 130 May 5. Their vehicle was disabled and a police officer stopped to help. They appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant and were taken to the hospital for treatment. They were later charged on a complaint summons.

A 26-year-old Hightstown woman was charged with shoplifting for allegedly leaving Walmart on Route 130 without paying for $294.99 worth of merchandise May 5. She was processed and released.
