Community Options Inc. will unveil a $385 million budget when the nonprofit’s annual board meeting takes place this weekend.
The national nonprofit organization that develops housing and employment supports for people with disabilities will hold the board meeting at the Union League Liberty Hill outside of Philadelphia on May 21.
The meeting will be chaired by Dorothy Goodwin, a board member from South Carolina, alongside the organization’s president, Robert Stack, according to a press release.
Community Options $385 million budget will support thousands of people with disabilities in 52 cities across 11 states.
The budget includes funding for innovative programs aimed at providing the highest quality of life for people with disabilities.
Community Options will also announce the appointment of its new Chief Impact Officer – Leanne Morton – who is set to guide efforts to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
The organization will discuss growth of its supported employment programs, which are available in most of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, according to the organization.
Additionally, Community Options will highlight the support received from both Sen. Bob Casey, Pennsylvania, and Sen. Tim Scott, South Carolina, who have been instrumental in securing funding for the organization’s programs and services.
In a letter congratulating Community Options for over three decades of success, Scott wrote, “As you look back, take satisfaction in all that you have accomplished, reflect on those you have had the good fortune of working alongside and take comfort in the knowledge that you have made your community a better place.”
The organization will review the impact of its entrepreneurial businesses, including the Daily Plan It and Vaseful flower store. The newest Daily Plan It in Newtown, Pa., will also be showcased during the meeting.
