A Philadelphia man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed his Nissan SUV into a utility pole on Bear Brook Road at 10:02 p.m. Feb. 24. He was processed and released.

Three Trenton residents were charged with shoplifting Feb. 24 for allegedly filling shopping bags with beauty products valued at $857.19 and leaving Target without paying for them. One of the suspects also had outstanding warrants from Plainsboro Township, Wall Township and the City of Trenton. They were processed and released.

An attempted burglary was reported in the Princeton Oaks development overnight between Feb. 20 and Feb. 21. Two burglars walked around the house and checked for unlocked doors. They tried unsuccessfully to pry open a window, and stole a gardening tool as they left the property.

A Trenton woman and a Hamilton Township woman were each charged with shoplifting for allegedly filling shopping bags with groceries, merchandise and baby formula worth $838.06 at Wegmans on Nassau Park Boulevard Feb. 18. They put the shopping bags in a grocery cart and left the store without paying for them. They were processed and released.

An Edison Township man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a police officer observed him abruptly applying the brakes on his car to slow down for slow-moving traffic and also weaving on Route 1 at 11:54 p.m. Feb. 17. The vehicle registration was also found to have expired. He was processed and released.

A Hamilton Township man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly taking six RAM memory cards, worth $290, at Best Buy on Nassau Park Boulevard Feb. 14. He asked an employee where the RAM memory cards were stored. After the employee walked away, he manipulated the glass door to the locked cabinet and reached in to take the cards.

A Trenton man was charged with being a fugitive from justice after he was stopped by police for speeding on Route 1 and improperly passing slower traffic Feb. 6. He was also found to be a wanted fugitive by Trenton and North Huntingdon, Pa. He was processed and turned over to the Trenton Police Department.

A Lawrence Township man was charged with shoplifting for allegedly underpaying for groceries Feb. 6. He allegedly paid for groceries worth $8.17, but he did not pay for items valued at $277.40 at the self-checkout register at Target on Nassau Park Boulevard. The suspect pushed the shopping cart full of items out of the store while two accomplices ran off in different directions. He was apprehended, and subsequently processed and released.
