The Princeton Public Schools Board of Education has appointed Johnson Park School Principal Angela Siso Stentz to become the next assistant superintendent for human resources.
The school board appointed Siso Stentz at a special meeting April 17. She will earn $190,000 per year when she starts in her new position July 1.
Siso Stentz will replace Rebecca Gold, who has served as the assistant superintendent of human resources since January 2022.
School board president Dafna Kendal welcomed Siso Stentz to her new job and said the school board is looking forward to working with her.
Siso Stentz has worked for the Princeton Public Schools since 1999. She began her career as a classroom teacher before being named supervisor of guidance. She served as assistant principal at Princeton High School and served as the principal at Johnson Park School since 2020.
Interim Superintendent of Schools Kathie Foster also welcomed Siso Stentz.
“We know we can’t replace our dear Rebecca Gold. However, we know you will be phenomenal in this role. We are so excited you will be joining us,” Foster said.
Siso Stentz said it was an honor to accept the position of assistant superintendent of human resources.
Each of the positions she has held in the school district has given her “invaluable experience,” she said, adding she was grateful to her colleagues and to all of the students that she taught or interacted with, as well as the parents and families that she came to know.
“The foundation of our work is all about relationships, and I know the next chapter in my career is very critically important,” Siso Stentz said.
“Hiring the best educators and staff, supporting our existing teachers and staff, and establishing or refining the system ensures we are the best for who we serve – the students. I am excited to get started.”
