Community members of all ages are invited to a day of music, food, prizes and family friendly games and activities during the first 90.5 The Night Food Truck Festival, to be held Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Road (Route 520), Lincroft.

The free event, hosted by Brookdale Public Radio, will feature more than 12 area food trucks, including Empanada Guy, Mary Queen of Pork, Surf and Turf Truck, House of Cupcakes and the Tasty Trolley, according to a press release.

Live music acts include Sharif, Waiting for Henry and Anthony D’Amato.

Attendees are also invited to brave a Halloween-themed “Trail of Terror,” play alongside 90.5 The Night DJs in a Corn Hole tournament, throw pies at their favorite radio personalities, jump around in a bounce house, have their faces painted or join in a world record attempt for “most kazoos played on a college campus,” according to the press release.

Funds raised at the event will support 90.5 The Night, Monmouth County’s only public radio station. The event will also serve as a homecoming celebration for the college, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

“This is basically a big thank you to all of the listeners and Monmouth County community members who have supported the radio station and the college for so many years,” said station manager Tom Brennan. “Bring your family and come enjoy a great day on our beautiful campus.”

Parking for the event is in lot 6. Children and pets are welcome. Admission is free and food is served on a cash basis. For more information visit www.90.5thenight.org/foodtrucks
